In 1992 i moved from Graz/Austria to Boston/MA to accept a scholarship. In 1996 I graduated summa com laude from the prestigious Berklee College of Music and moved to New York City the following year. In 2000 I graduated with a BFA from Mannes College for Jazz and Contemporary Music (New School University).

I am endorsed by Sadowsky, Fodera and Lakland basses, Epifani speakers and LaBella strings and have been Voting member of the Recording Academy (the Grammys) for 10 years.
Due to the huge success of my production house I recently expanded my business and opened www.StevenHeroProductions.com LLC, a full service Music/Audio Composition/Recording/Production House.

(Trad.Korean Jazz and Folk Festival in Seoul; headlined the Monk festival in Pusan) and Austria (Donauinsel Rock festival; Jazz festival Wiesen; headlined the Jazz Sommer Graz festival
