From Vienna to Miami
I love my home town Vienna where I grew up and spent most of my life. I still remember the guy at the immigration of Miami Airport asking me why on earth I would leave Vienna to settle down in Miami. Well there is one answer: Love! Once my husband was born in Miami and owns a travel agency ( I have been in the travel business for most of my life) and I absolutely adore the vibe, the mixture of cultures and the weather (especially from October to April). Of course it needs some time to get used to a new system (starting from health system to reliability of contractors etc...). Do not expect somebody to show up in time. Our friends already got "Austrianized": please show up in time when I cook. By the way: everybody loves Austrian cuisine. Actually, most of the people do not like to cook over here and are happy to eat "real" food.
Most of your European friends visit us during winter time. Guess why! You can not beat the weather in South Florida. Check it out by yourself!
