Anita Cassard, PhD.

Anita M. Cassard, Ph.D., is an expert in the practical application of leadership and management styles/theories, with over 20 years of domestic and international business experience across diverse sectors. She was born and raised in Vienna/Austria, where she completed her undergraduate coursework at the Economic Research Institute and Institute of Advanced Studies. She received her MPS from The New School University (Milano-The New School for Management and Urban Policy) in New York City, focusing on Hospital and Health Care Administration. Anita was awarded her doctoral degree from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota (Applied Management and Decision Sciences) where she specialized in Leadership and Organizational Change. She has substantial experience collaborating with scope and sequence authors and external subject matter experts, working in multidisciplinary and cross-functional team environments in industries such as agriculture, healthcare, and education.
Dr. Cassard is a frequent speaker both nationally and regionally, and maintains an active interest in emerging new programs and teaching methods regarding leadership. Among her numerous accomplishments is the development of a health care curriculum for community colleges and a train-the-trainer model educating teachers on how to prevent the occurrence of youth-violence in the public school system. Additionally, she collaboratively wrote several papers published in peer reviewed, scientific journals, and her book The Sherpa Leadership Model: A Model of Disempowerment, was published in Europe, Asia, and the United States by VDM-Publishing in Saarbruecken, Germany, in May of 2008.
Her research paper Women and their Relationship to Leader, Follower Commitment, and Job Performance: Netherlands, Belgium, and North Carolina (Cassard, Hamel 2008) has been incorporated as study material in the Business Research classes at the University of Phoenix at the Charlotte campus, North Carolina.
She has received numerous recognition awards and currently lives in Maryland, USA.
